So much to not know
Dance class is challenging... and intimidating and goes against nature itself. The list of moves that I not only can't do but didn't know could be expected of me is daunting. Let's see, there are FO mohawks, back cross strokes, forward and backward power pulls, funky chasse things where while on a left outside edge doing progressives I'm supposed to bring my right foot behind and inside and then some how pick up my left foot. And then into a FO mohawk. This week we did swing rolls but at the apex of the half circle we are supposed to do a full turn and continue on. Oh, sure.
I like chasses and doing them in a hold. Maybe it was just the girl that I did them with was good enough that I didn't feel like a complete idiot.
The actual dances, I just don't get. Simple moves, I just can't remember for anything what I'm supposed to be doing.
A big problem is I haven't had any time to practice, so it's just a few minutes warm up time, a 30 minute group lesson then nothing until the next week. There's just been a lot going on. I think just some noodle time would help me immensely.
